b. Tanks shall be capable of storing liquids with specific <br /> gravity up to 1.1. <br /> c. Maximum Temperature - Tanks shall be capable of storing <br /> gasoline, 100% methanol, 100% ethanol, gasohol (90% gasoline <br /> and 10% ethanol mixture) , Oxinol-50 (90.5% gasoline, 4.75% <br /> methanol, 4.75% GIBA) , av gas, jet fuel, motor oil, kerosene, <br /> diesel fuel or potable water at ambient underground <br /> temperatures, or fuel oil at temperatures not to exceed 150 <br /> degrees F at the tank interior surface. Dupont EPA waiver <br /> (gasoline with 5% methanol and a minimum of 2.5% cosolvent. <br /> The blend may contain a maximum concentration of up to 3.7 <br /> weight percent oxygen in the final fuel) . <br /> d. Tanks shall be chemically inert to petroleum products. <br /> 3. Monitoring Capabilities <br /> a. Tank shall have a space between the primary and secondary <br /> shell walls to allow for the free flow and containment of all <br /> leaked product from the primary tank. <br /> b. The following continuous monitoring conditions shall be <br /> compatible with the cavity between the inner and outer tanks: <br /> 1) Vented to atmosphere. <br /> 2) Sealed tank cavity. <br /> 3) Vacuum - 3" mercury maximum (1.5 psi maximum) . <br /> 4) Positive air pressure (3 psi maximum) . <br /> 5) hydrostatic pressure - 7 foot maximum groundwater head <br /> pressure over tank top. <br /> c. Tanks shall have an integrally-mounted reservoir installed on <br /> the tank for optional hydrostatic monitoring. The reservoir <br /> shall be constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic <br /> materials and warranted for 30 years against failure due to <br /> I, internal/external corrosion and, when properly installed, <br /> ;r against structural failure (same as tank warranty) . <br /> d. Tank shall be designed with access to the tank bottom between <br /> the primary and secondary walls (annular space) . Tank shall <br /> have one 4" NPP monitoring fitting in the reservoir. <br /> e. The double wall tank monitor shall be capable of detecting a <br /> breach in the inner and/or outer tank under the following <br /> installed conditions: <br /> u <br /> 1) When the inner tank is empty. <br /> 15.11-5 <br /> Food Plant Engineering, Inc. <br />
