Schedule: The schedule shall be discussed at the mandatory Pre-Bid meeting(see Invitation to Bid <br /> Letter, for specific date, time and location)in detail. Include with your Proposal a simple bar chart <br /> schedule illustrating the relative durations of major activities involved in removal of the two fuel <br /> UST's. <br /> H. Work Included: The Contractor shall remove two underground storage tanks in accordance with <br /> the terms of this Specification and accompanying drawings. The Work to be performed by <br /> Contractor shall include, but is not limited to, the following principal items listed below. Detailed <br /> requirements are presented elsewhere in this Specification and as shown and described on the <br /> Drawings. <br /> 1. Scope of Work Summary <br /> Remove One 3,000 Gallon Underground Unleaded Fuel Tank and <br /> One 3,000 Gallon Underground Diesel Underground Fuel Tank: <br /> • Apply for, and coordinate all permits and inspections. <br /> • Saw cut pavement surrounding the area to be excavated. <br /> • Install engineered shoring, terracing, or sloping per CAL OSHA requirements. <br /> • Install safety construction fencing and barricades. <br /> • Excavate, stockpile, sample, and test back fill material. <br /> • Sample and test underlying soils and/or water under supervision of geologist(furnished by Contractor). <br /> i.e. One sample from beneath each end of each tank, one sample from beneath each of the two fuel <br /> dispensers at a depth of approximately 3 feet(at the native soil interface), two composite samples from <br /> spoil pile, and one sample for each 20 linear feet of piping. <br /> • Transport, and dispose of excess clean spoil. <br /> • Excavate, stockpile, and load up to twenty(20) cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil (trucking <br /> and disposal furnished by PG&E, scheduled by Contractor). Note: Handling of greater than 20 CY of <br /> contaminated soil will be considered additional work. <br /> • Clean and Inert tanks, piping, and dispensers (PG&E will furnish transportation and disposal of rinsate, <br /> vacuum truck to be scheduled by Contractor). <br /> • Remove, and load tanks (trucking furnished by PG&E and scheduled by Contractor). <br /> • Arrange and pay for decontamination and recycling of tanks, dispensers, and steel piping as scrap <br /> metal at a facility approved by PG&E. <br /> • Cut, crush, and place fiberglass petroleum piping into D.O.T.-approved hazardous waste storage drums <br /> and turn over to PG&E for disposal as hazardous waste. <br /> • Dismantle contents of fuel island booth. <br /> • Remove and dispose of electronic UST monitoring equipment. <br /> • Remove and dispose of electrical sub-panel. <br />
