Spec No. CGT-TRACY-UST-01-2003 <br /> General Requirements <br /> 01010-5 <br /> become the property of the Contractor,transportation and disposal of waste material and debris <br /> shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor and shall be done at their sole expense. <br /> C. Work Assignments: The organization of this Specification into Divisions and Sections and the <br /> arrangement of the Drawings shall not control the Contractor in dividing the Work among <br /> subcontractors or in establishing the extent of work to be performed by any trade. The use of <br /> subcontractors does not relieve Contractor of the responsibility to perform all work under this <br /> Specification. <br /> D. Project Meetings: Contractor shall attend project meetings at regular intervals mutually agreed to <br /> by PG&E and Contractor. Attendance shall be limited to the Contractor and their immediate <br /> subordinates. Contractor shall keep meeting minutes with copies sent to all attendees. Meetings <br /> shall be held in quarters agreed to by PG&E and Contractor. <br /> E. Defective Work: Any work, material, or equipment which does not comply with the requirements of <br /> the Contract documents shall be repaired or replaced immediately by and at the sole expense of <br /> the Contractor. <br /> F. Inspection: Field inspection and tests performed by PG&E does not relieve Contractor of its <br /> responsibility to notify and coordinate with City, State, Federal, and all other agencies having <br /> jurisdiction over the Work being performed by the Contractor and its subcontractors specified by <br /> this Specification. <br /> G. Delivery and Care of Material and Equipment: The receiving, storage, quality, and inventory control <br /> of equipment and materials required for the Work hereunder shall be the sole responsibility of <br /> Contractor. All Work performed by Contractor hereunder shall be done to the satisfaction of PG&E, <br /> but this shall not be construed as to relieve Contractor of the responsibility to complete and <br /> guarantee the Work as specified. <br /> 1. Access: Equipment,tools, and materials shall be transported to and from the property during <br /> regular working hours, unless otherwise permitted by PG&E. <br /> 2. Storage: Equipment, tools, and materials may be stored on PG&E's property in locations <br /> designated by PG&E. <br /> H. Obstructions: Contractor shall remove or relocate existing obstructions as necessary to perform the <br /> Work subject to obtaining PG&E's permission prior to removing or relocating any obstruction. <br /> Removed obstructions shall be repaired or replaced at Contractor's sole expense as directed by <br /> PG&E. <br /> I. Patching: Contractor shall patch or repair floors, walls, and ceilings as necessary. Material used in <br /> patching and repair work shall match the existing finish as closely as possible and must be <br /> approved by PG&E. Joints between old and new work shall be made as inconspicuous as <br /> possible. <br /> J. Openings: Contractor shall construct openings in walls and floors that are necessary for electrical, <br /> mechanical, and other work included in this Specification. Openings occurring for removal of <br /> obstructions or from relocated work shall be patched and made to appear as inconspicuous as <br /> possible. Care shall be taken in cutting existing concrete, plaster, masonry, or other material to <br /> avoid damage to a larger area than necessary. Cuts shall be made with an abrasive saw, and <br /> where the material thickness is greater than 3/4 inch,the surface shall be scored to obtain a <br /> straight cut. Unnecessary cutting or damage will not be tolerated. <br />
