Spec No. CGT-TRACY-UST-01-2003 <br /> General Requirements <br /> 01010-9 <br /> 8. Dust Palliation: Contractor shall take appropriate steps throughout the term of the project to <br /> prevent air-borne dust due to work under this Specification. Contractor shall apply water <br /> wherever practical to settle and hold dust to a minimum, particularly during excavation and <br /> moving of materials. No chemical palliatives shall be used without permission of PG&E. <br /> C. Site Utilization: <br /> 1. Contractor shall store construction materials and equipment within boundaries of work areas to <br /> be designated by PG&E. <br /> 2. Contractor shall be responsible for all damage to PG&E's property, including but not limited to, <br /> bathrooms, drinking fountains, and shall repair all damage resulting from such use. <br /> D. Work by PG&E or by Other Contractors: <br /> 1. PG&E reserves the right to perform work related to the project, but not within the Work <br /> specified by this Specification, with their own personnel and to award separate contracts to third <br /> parties in connection with other portions of the project or other work on the site. <br /> 2. The Contractor shall afford PG&E and other contractors reasonable opportunity for the <br /> introduction and storage of its materials and equipment and the execution of their work and <br /> shall connect and coordinate the Work under this Contract with theirs as required by this <br /> Specification. <br /> 3. If any part of Contractor's work depends on proper execution of the Work of PG&E or any other <br /> contractors, Contractor shall, prior to proceeding with the Work, promptly report to PG&E any <br /> apparent discrepancies or defects in such other work that render it unsuitable for such proper <br /> execution and results. Failure of Contractor to report such discrepancies or defects shall <br /> constitute an acceptance of PG&E's or other contractors'work as fit and proper to receive <br /> Contractor's work, except as to latent defects which may subsequently become apparent in <br /> such work by others. <br /> 4. Should Contractor cause damage to the Work or property of PG&E or to other work on the site, <br /> Contractor shall promptly remedy such damage. <br /> 5. Should Contractor cause damage to the Work or property of any other contractor, Contractor <br /> shall promptly attempt to settle with such other contractor by agreement or otherwise resolve <br /> the dispute. <br /> E. Contractor Representative's Training: Prior to commencing work, PG&E shall instruct Contractor <br /> regarding PG&E's requirements for safety, security, and fire prevention. During the Contract <br /> period, Contractor shall instruct each of their employees and subcontractors prior to commencing <br /> work on PG&E's property of PG&E's safety, building security,fire extinguisher locations, and <br /> operation requirements. Contractor shall review the Contractor Safety Orientation Checklist <br /> (Exhibit 5) with PG&E prior to commencing work. <br /> 1.07 SECURITY REQUIREMENTS AT WORK SITE <br /> A. No person shall keep firearms, bows and arrows, or any projectile firing implements on their person <br /> or in their vehicle while working at the work site. No alcoholic beverages or drugs are allowed at <br /> the work site. Refer to the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy, Paragraph 24.0, of the General <br /> Conditions. Violations of the above requirements by any person shall be grounds for denial of <br /> access to the work site. <br />
