The words "imp ct" or <br /> "impacted" are used here to mean the effect or result of a release of a hazardous <br /> substance that could be judged an REC. <br /> 5.0 SITE REVIEW <br /> The following terms are used in this report: <br /> "Site" refers to the property within the approximate boundaries shown in <br /> Figures 1 and 2 and described in Subsection 5.1; <br /> "Immediate site vicinity" refers to properties immediately adjacent to <br /> the site that share a common boundary with the site; and <br /> "Site vicinity" refers to the area within approximately a 1-mile radius of <br /> the site. <br /> 5.1 Site Setting <br /> The site comprises approximately 1.44 acres (San Joaquin County Assessors Map, <br /> 1999) in Stockton, California (see Figures 1 and 2). <br /> The site legal description on file at the San Joaquin County Community Development <br /> Department and the San Joaquin County Assessor's office is APN 143-270-42. <br /> 5.2 Site and Site Vicinity Reconnaissance <br /> 5.2.1 Site Reconnaissance - A site reconnaissance was conducted on April 5, 2001, <br /> by Mr. Drew Van Allen, Project Manager with ATC. Color photographs of the site <br /> and adjacent properties are presented in Site Photographs 1 through 8. At the time of <br /> the site reconnaissance, the weather was clear and sunny. <br /> The site is a rectangular-shaped parcel of land with relatively level topograp y. The <br /> site improved with one structure, a concrete and asphalt parking lot, a stormwater <br /> retention basin, and a landscaped area. The site has surface drains in the parking areas <br /> and storage areas that drain to the stormwater retention basin in the northwest comer of <br /> the site. <br /> 54.25601.0005 4 ATC Associates Inc. <br />
