Qualified installers must possessor work under the direct and personal supervision of an <br /> individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the following: <br /> a. A valid, current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board, and <br /> b. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> installed, and <br /> c. A valid, current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code <br /> Council (ICC). <br /> Additionally, each person installing or testing any component must hold a certificate of <br /> training from the manufacturer of that component. <br /> 5. Qualified service technicians must possessor work under the direct and personal <br /> supervision of an individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the <br /> following: <br /> a. One of several permissible valid, current contractor's licenses issued by the Contractors <br /> State License Board (may be issued to the installation company), or a Tank Tester's <br /> license issued to the individual by the State Water Board, and <br /> b. A valid, current California UST Service Technician certificate issued by the International <br /> Code Council (ICC), and <br /> c. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> tested, repaired, or serviced. <br /> Additionally, each person installing or testing any component must hold a certificate of <br /> training from the manufacturer of that component. <br /> 6. All piping, fittings, sumps, under-dispenser containment and tanks must be certified by an <br /> independent testing organization and labeled as required by the organization. (UL, ULC, <br /> ANSI, API, ASTM, etc. See Title 23 Chapter 16 Table B for complete list.) Pursuant to <br /> Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL) listing requirements, only those products bearing the <br /> UL mark will be considered listed. ANY PART/PRODUCT NOT MARKED WITH THE UL <br /> LABEL OR ANOTHER LISTED TESTING ORGANIZATION WILL BE REJECTED. <br /> 7. All USTs shall be anchored using deadmen as detailed in the permit application. <br /> 8. All monitoring systems shall be listed in the LG 113 letter. <br /> 9. All installation and testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, section <br /> 2635 and section 2636 of California Code of Regulations (CCR). <br /> 10. All piping must be constructed to industry standards and it must slope to a containment <br /> sump located at the low point of the underground piping with an audible/visual alarm per <br /> CCR 2636(c)(1) and (2). <br /> 11. All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have <br /> secondary containment, audible/visual alarm and be vapor tight or terminate at grade. <br /> 2 <br />
