1 FOR AUTHORIZED USERS ONLY DO NOT TAMPEWITH THE SYSTEM <br /> Alarms <br /> The 522 Remote Monitoring System is designed to work with any of Beaudreau's 500 Series <br /> rSensors. These sensors can detect fuel, water or dispenser impact. The 522 Monitor is <br /> programmed to provide a visual and audible alarm for each of these situations and will also <br /> provide a visual and audible alarm for a Communication failure. In addition, the 522 Monitor <br /> can send an alarm signal to a third-party monitoring system. Finally, if using the 522 Serial <br /> Relay System, the 522 Monitor can be used to shut off power to both dispensers and submersible <br /> turbine pumps. <br /> When A Fuel Alarm Occurs <br /> rWhen a 500 Series sensor detects fuel (or high water) in a dispenser containment sump, the 522 <br /> Monitor will go into alarm. The hom will sound and the screen will read as follows: <br /> r Disp #01 Status <br /> r Fuel : ALARM <br /> The audible alarm can be silenced by aressine the Mute key on the Monitor. Station <br /> personnel should be instructed to silence the audible alarm and to immediately contact a <br /> qualified maintenance technician <br /> Maintenance technicians should first check the Monitor screen to determine the nature of the <br /> alarm. If a fuel leak has been detected, the maintenance technician should first shut off power to <br /> the affected dispenser at the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker should be locked and/or tagged <br /> Iout until the leak is resolved and the fuel properly disposed. Only after the fuel has been <br /> removed and the sensors have.been replaced should power be turned back on at the dispenser. <br /> After turning power back on at the dispenser, the alarm may be cleared out as follows: <br /> I1. Screen will read: <br /> Disp #01 Status <br /> Fuel : ALARM <br /> 2. Press Escape <br /> Main Menu <br /> Monitoring Mode <br /> 3. Press —>key until Alarm Control Menu appears <br /> Main Menu <br /> Alarm Control <br /> P-5 <br />
