L 5.2 GROUNDWATER SAMPLES
5.2.1 VOCs and SVOCs
LLow concentrations of chloroform were detected in samples B-1, B-2, B-3, and B-4 at 0.90, 5.5, 7.7, and
3.4 micrograms per liter (µg/Q, respectively; below the EPA and California Maximum Contaminant
Level (MCL)of 80 µg/L. All other VOCs and SVOCs were not detected at or above laboratory reporting
L limits in any of the four samples.
5.2.2 Petroleum Hydrocarbons(TPH-G,-D,-MO)
V The laboratory analytical results for the groundwater samples are summarized in Figure 7, Appendix A,
and Table 6, below. All four groundwater samples had a laboratory note of"liquid sample that contains
greater than -- 1 vol. % sediment'. TPH-G was not detected at or above laboratory reporting limits of 50
` µg/L in any of the four groundwater samples (13-1 through B-4). TPH-D was detected in groundwater
samples B-1, B-2, B-3, and B-4 at 99, 420, 190, and 1,400 µg/L, respectively. The laboratory described
the analysis of samples B-1 and B-3 as,"diesel range compounds are significant-no recognizable pattern;
jr one to a few isolated peaks present". Sample B-2 had the following laboratory notes: "oil range
compounds are significant; diesel range compounds are significant-no recognizable pattern". Sample B-4
had the following laboratory notes: "oil range compounds are significant; diesel range compounds are
Vsignificant-no recognizable pattern; one to a few isolated peaks present". TPH-MO was not detected in
groundwater samples B-1 or B-3 at or above 250 µg/L. TPH-MO was detected in groundwater samples
B-2 and B-4 at 2,100 and 1,500 µg/L,respectively.
