Exhibit A
f KLMNFELOER
w.nw.rorw
north of Fight Mile Road. This boring is located on private property and will
require the City and Project Engineer to work in conjunction to gain access.
• Access to 6-42 is proposed to be along the access road shown corning off
of the levee and driving out into the field. The proposed boring locations
are shown on the attached photo plate and are representative of our
understanding of project details such as pipeline entry and exit shah
locations.
Additionallywe propose to drill the following:
• Drill a test boring(B-41)west of the toe of the Honker Cut levee and north of
Eight Mile Road at the receiving shaft location. This boring is located on
private properly and will require the City and Project Engineer to work in
conjunction to gain access.
• The boring is estimated to be approximately 250 feet west of the centerline
of the levee crown and 400 feet north of Eight Mile Road.
• Access to BA1 is planned to be gained through the farm service yard
adjacent to Eight Mile Road and Honker Cut. After permission to enter the
property has been granted, we can mark the location and assess final
accessibility- This boring is also shown on Plate 3.
The borings will be advanced to depths of 65 and 50 feet below the crown of levee and
levee toe locations, respectively. These borings will be drilled with hollow-stem auger
through the levee fill followed by mud rotary wash drilling methods. The test horings will
be backfilled with cement bentonite grout to within approximately 18-inches of the
ground surface when completed and inspected by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department inspector. Copies of the boring logs and laboratory
data will be provided to the Reclamation District following completion of our field and
laboratory bests.
Site Logistics and Considerations
Drilling in each location is anticipated to take one work day. The attached maps show
our proposed drilling locations (Plate 1)_ The access routes vie have described are our
best estimate on how to get into each location (Plates 2 and 3). if an ahem ate access
route is preferred please let us know.
At this Time,we do not anticipate the need to lay matting down for the drilling operation.
However; in the event that the fields are too wet due to irrigation or precipitation matting
may be required_ If conditions are too wet to gain nocess safely and responsibly without
incurring road damage-we will not drill unless additional measures such as matting can
87057.3141ST091.225R Page 2 of A Ontoner 2a,20C9
Copyigrt iVgg KUInNger a1VI51Cn r4i.i,d3b0 actourZB,zm
