OIL STORAGE CONTAINERS (40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(i)) <br /> Fixed Oil Storage Containers <br /> There are three active ASTs at the subject site (AST-I through AST-3). Tank AST-1 is a single-walled <br /> steel AST and tanks AST-2 and AST-3 are double-walled ASTs constructed of steel. Tank AST-1 is <br /> located to the east of the shop building. Tanks AST-2 and ASTA are located inside the shop building in <br /> the southeast comer of the building. The capacities of fixed oil storage containers present at the site are <br /> summarized in Table A below and the location of each oil storage container is shown on Figure 2. A <br /> technical amendment to this SPCC Plan is required if any existing tanks at this facility become <br /> permanently closed or if new active tanks are installed at the facility. The SPCC Plan must be <br /> amended and recertified by an engineer during the technical amendment. There are no permanently closed ASTs at the site. If any empty tanks are <br /> planned to be inactive for a significant period of time, the tanks should be marked with signs indicating <br /> that the tanks are "Permanently Closed" with the date the tank becomes inactive. Inactive tanks must <br /> not be used to store petroleum products while present at the VFT Stockton Terminal facility. <br /> Permanently closed tanks are exempt from the SPCC regulations of 40 CFR 112. A technical <br /> amendment to this SPCC Plan is required if any existing tanks at this facility become permanently <br /> closed or if a permanently closed tank becomes active. The SPCC Plan must be amended and <br /> recertified by an engineer during the technical amendment. <br /> Portable Oil Storage Containers <br /> Four 55-gallon steel drums containing petroleum products are located inside the shop building. The <br /> drums in the shop building are used to store gear oil, kerosene,engine oil,and used oil filters. <br /> Additionally, five 55-gallon steel drums containing petroleum products are located in the storage shed <br /> outside of the shop building. The drums in the storage shed are used to store used oil filters(3 drums), <br /> and used oil absorbent materials (2 drums). The drums in the shed are kept on spill containment pallets. <br /> Portable oil storage containers present at the facility are summarized in Table B.
