4_ After completion, the wells will be developed using surge and/or pumping techniques for a
minimum of three well volumes or until the return water is clear and temperature,pH and
conductivity stabilize. The temperature,pH,and conductivity will be recorded on the field
activity report and/or an appropriate monitoring data sheet
5. After the wells have been developed and the parameters have stabilized, water samples will be
collected from each well using clean disposable bailers. The samples will be analyzed for the
parameters shown in Table 1,which is identical to the requirements presented in Table 3 of the
WDRs. The analyses will be performed by a state-certified analytical laboratory.
6_ As this is a "clean" site, soil cuttings produced during drilling and water generated from auger
steam cleaning will be spread out and left onsite. Water from development and purging of the
wells will also be discharged onsite.
3.4 WATER QUALITY CHARACTERIZATION REPORT
1. After receipt of the laboratory analysis report, the data will be reviewed and evaluated to
determine the ground water quality at the site. The analytical data will be reduced, tabulated
and summary tables prepared.
1 2. After evaluation and interpretation of the data, the results will be assembled into a Water
Quality Characterization Report. The report will be submitted to the RWQCB and will include
the following:
J Table of Contents
• Introduction
• Background (site conditions and existing background information)
Field Investigation(description of field activities)
• Summary of Results (data reduction of field and laboratory analyses)
T0 Well Completion Information
• Laboratory Analyses Results
• Ground Water Elevation Results
• Tables (laboratory and Field data summaries)
Figures (well location and ground water contour maps)
Appendices:
- Boring logs
Well construction diagrams
Certified laboratory reports and Chain-of-Custody documents
3. After the initial sampling, the ground water monitoring program will become part of the
Monitoring and Reporting Program as outlined in the WDRs for the site.
5 TRC
CusAbme4ocvsed Sofuhon:
80 ' c)n:R Tn, c uer
