(B-5 to B-8)
Four to eight boreholes are directed to be drilled/hydropunched. Approximate locations are depicted on
Plate 3. Boreholes will be advanced by drilling rig or hydropunch rig until ground water is encountered,
until 20 feet in depth or until refusal (as determined by the onsite field personnel and the driller). The
boreholes are anticipated to be a maximum of approximately 20 feet deep. A total of four water and four
soil samples are anticipated, however, if the field PID indicates impacts, up to four additional soil and
water samples will be collected.
Access Agreement
Enviro Assess is performing the work for the property owner. A signed access agreement will not be
needed before start of work.
3. HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
We anticipate that the health hazards that will be encountered at the Site will be minimal. Based on our
understanding of the past disposal practices at the Site, we do not expect to encounter any liquid or solid
waste materials nor any liquid or solid hazardous waste materials at the proposed drilling locations.
However, if waste materials are encountered, we anticipate that the primary mode of contaminant
exposure will be through the skin as a result of handling equipment, soil, and water. Therefore, we have
prepared the following Health and Safety Plan:
1) Level D Protection. We propose that all field activities be conducted consistent with
Level D protection requirements as defined by the California Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA). The minimal required Level D protection equipment includes hard hat, safety
glasses, steel-toed boots, earplugs, disposable rubber gloves, and appropriate work clothing.
2) Emergency Treatment. In the event of an emergency, a member of the team will dial 911
and follow the instructions of the operator. In the event that a non-emergency injury occurs to any or all
of the team, they will be transported to the nearest hospital that provides emergency room services (San
Joaquin General Hospital, 500 West Hospital Road,French Camp, CA 95231, (209)468-6000.)
0 ENVIRO ASSESS ENVIRONMENTAL•ENGINEERING•GEOLOGY
PO BOX 1154,BONNERS FERRY,ID 83805 PHONE(877)629-6838 FAX(877)623-5493
