While no records of an environmental problem
associated with this property was found during our review of
1 regulatory records, judging from the nature of materials stored
and/or disposed of on this property, some potential exists for
leakage or spillage of hazardous substances into soil and ground
water at this Site. -
No other potential sources of contamination of Site soil or
lground water were observed in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
7.0 REVIEW OF PUBLIC RECORDS
As part of our previous assessment of the Brookside Ranch,
located directly south of the Site ("Environmental Site
Assessment Report, Brookside Development Site; San Joaquin
1 County, California," December 8, 1988) , Levineā¢Fricke conducted a
` review of selected public information pertaining to the Brookside
Ranch and vicinity to obtain information concerning potential
1 sources of chemicals at the property or on nearby properties.
This included: (1) a review of several lists prepared by State
regulatory agencies of sites where leaks or spills of hazardous
substances or contamination of soil and/or ground water have been
reported; and (2) a review of selected files, maps and other
documents available at regulatory and other government agencies.
In addition, various regulatory and other government officials
were contacted by telephone for specific information not
contained in public records reviewed.
The specific lists reviewed and regulatory agencies contacted are
presented in Appendix A. Lists of sites where fuel leaks had
been reported were reviewed for sites within -an approximately
1/2-mile radius of the Site. Due to the high mob3.lity of some
non-petroleum compounds, lists of cases involving possible
contamination of soil/ground water with substances other than
petroleum products were reviewed for sites within an
approximately one-mile radius of the Site. Information pertinent
to the Site obtained from this review is summarized below.
7. 1 The Site
SpilIlRelease/Contamination Case Lists
The Site was not found on any of the lists indicated in Appendix
A.
JPetroleum and Hazardous Substance Release Cases
As part of the assessment of the Brookside Ranch, the San Joaquin
Local Health District (SJLHD) was contacted on October 26, 1988
Jto identify possible fuel leak and hazardous substance release
