If insufficient water exists in the drains at the proposed
locations, the sample technicians will move downstream(north) until sufficient water is available, even if
this is within the reclamation area. Sampling documentation will note the actual location of the upstream
sample when that location varies from the mapped location.
5.2 SAMPLING FREQUENCY
Agricultural drain monitoring points will be sampled monthly during the first year. Following the first
year of sampling the agricultural drain monitoring points will be sampled quarterly. The sampling events_
will be coordinated with and conducted at the same time as the sampling of the agricultural drain
monitoring points for the two existing reclamation areas.
5.3 SAMPLING PROCEDURES
All sampling equipment will be cleaned prior to use by washing in a solution of laboratory-grade, non-
phosphate detergent and deionized water, wiping with isopropyl alcohol, and double-rinsing with
deionized water. Water samples will be collected from the ditch sampling locations by filling a Teflon
dipping cup and transferring the water to laboratory-supplied containers. The sample containers will be
labeled, placed in a cooler chilled with ice, and delivered in accordance with chain-of-custody procedures
to a certified laboratory.
es
+', CONDOR
