The soils
generally consist of moderate to well drained, fine texturedsoils. The.CSZ soils generally formed
iri•alluvium derived from sedimentary and mixed rock sources.
2.2. LOCAL GROUND WATER SETTING ;
r; The nearest surface water feature in the vicinity of the'site,which may interact with the,local ground,
is"the San Joaquin River approximately fifteen miles southeast of the site. Ground water at the site
is currently encountered at a depth of between 13 and 14.feet below surface grade (bsg),.arid has a ;
r ` . north to northwesterri flow direction. The depth to ground water has ranged from 8.95 to 15.48 feet
below the well casing tops (Table 1). . '
2.3.' DOMESTIC•AND MUNICIPAL WELL SURVEY
Drinkingwater at and'near the site not currently and never has been su lied'b the Ci of Trac
Y pp Y City , Y
municipal'well system. The water supply for the Strong Property located at 5157 West Business
Loop 205 was supplied by a domestic well 230 feet west of the site (DW 5157). According to Mr.
Mike Strong the water line extending to 5157 from this domestic well_was ruptured in 1998 and'
subsequently capped off.At the present there is no water being supplied to 5157 WestBusiness Loop
r 205. This domestic well currently supplies drinking water to the adjacent properties;5161 and 5163
West Business Loop 205. AGE was unable to locate any additional information regarding this
domestic well. "
Representatives of'AGE performed a reconnaissance of-visually observable potential receptors.
within a'2,000-foot radius of the above referenced site and conducted a search, at the California
Department of Water Resources, of well drillers reports for water wells located in the surrounding.
area.Ten domestic wells and one irrigation well were discovered;including the well located at 5157
West Business Loop 205 within the 2,000-foot radius of the Strong Property.All the information that
r' was obtained regarding these wells can be found on Table 2.'All of the well logs that AGE was able
to locate can be found in Appendix A. .
Based on the receptor survey three.private wells appear to be vulnerable based,on their proximity
to.the'former UST area at the Strong Property: .
r'' - • ' The well located at 51157 West Business Loo 205 DW-5157 which su lies water to the
• p { ) pp
adjacent,properties is located 230 feet west of the site.
