Immediately add the accumulation start date and ensure that all used oil filters <br />are managed in this way. Class 11 Repeat Violation. <br />25. The 55 gallon drum of waste gear oil had a hole on top. If a container holding hazardous waste is not <br />in good condition (e.g., severe rusting, apparent structural defects), or if it begins to leak, the owner or <br />operator shall transfer the hazardous waste from this container to a container that is in good condition, <br />or manage the waste in some other way that complies with the requirements of this chapter. Correct <br />immediately by ensuring that all hazardous waste is stored in a container of good condition and <br />compatible with the waste being stored. Minor - Notice to Comply. <br />27. The 55 gallon drum of waste hydraulic oil was left open. All hazardous waste containers shall be <br />closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and <br />ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. Class II Repeat <br />Violation. <br />35. The daily inspection log for the daily hazardous waste tank inspections was on site beginning with <br />May 2011 and did not have documentation that it was conducted daily. The other daily inspection log for <br />the daily hazardous waste tank inspections prior to May 2011 is not on site. The owner or operator shall <br />inspect, where present, at least Once each operating day: <br />(1) overfill/spill control equipment (e.g., waste -feed cutoff systems, bypass systems, and drainage <br />systems) to ensure that it is in good working order; <br />(2) the above ground portions of the tank system, if any, to detect corrosion or releases of waste; <br />(3) data gathered from monitoring equipment and leak -detection equipment, (e.g., pressure and <br />temperature gauges, monitoring wells) to ensure that the tank system is being operated according to its <br />design; <br />(4) the construction materials and the area immediately surrounding the externally accessible portion of <br />the tank system including secondary containment structures (e.g., dikes) to detect erosion or signs of <br />releases of hazardous waste (e.g., wet spots, dead vegetation); and <br />(5) for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank, to ensure compliance with section 66265.194(b)3. <br />Correct immediately by ensuring that the required daily hazardous waste tank inspections are conducted <br />and documented. Class 11 Repeat Violation. <br />79. The box of Universal Waste(UW) lamps was left open. A UW handler shall manage lamps in a way <br />that prevents releases of any UW or component of a UW to the environment. A UW handler shall contain <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122). <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHD Inspector.% Ot <br />EHD 23-02-003 Rev 08/10/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
