r
r
To facilitate development of a portion of the Sunboro Development
 - property, namely Parcel A identified above, Mr. David S. Ng,
President, Sunboro Development Corporation, wrote a letter to
i Mr. Mike McCluskey, Director of Public Works, dated June 7, 1988,
i , (see Appendix A, page A-3) , outlining his plan for determining
that parcel A is clean of contamination. Mr. Ng also sent a
letter dated June 7, 1988 (see Appendix A, Page A-1) to Mr. Brian
Foucht, City of Tracy proposing the following action:
1. The proposed subdivision site is composed of two legally separate
parcels of land (Parcel A and Parcel B).
2. No petroleum hydrocarbon contamination has been found on or
near Parcel A, and Parcel A is thought to be clean of such
contamination.
,— 3. Sunboro Development proposes to have a series of soil borings
drilled 25 feet deep along a line parallel with Byron Road's
south boundary and 125 feet south of said Byron Road boundary.
Eight (8) soil borings spaced approximately 200 feet apart will
be bored, profiled and sampled for laboratory analysis. (Nine
(9) soil borings were actually bored, and the samples analyzed. )
e 4. Once the above clean line is identified, the City of Tracy will
allow processing of a tentative map for development of Parcel
A.
Mr. McCluskey's reply is found in Appendix A, page A--4.
The above work has been completed and is the subject of this report.
The following data is presented in the appendix of this report.
1. Map showing location of soil bora gs, Byron Road and boundaries
of Parcels A and B.
2. Soil borings profile and logs.
3. Soil sample results.
4. Groundwater elevations.
Following is the description of the field work performed.
1I-2
