Injection well locations are as
follows:
Two intermediate screened wells will be advanced south and west of well MW-7 to
treat downgradient hydrocarbon impact to soil and groundwater;
j • Two intermediate wells will be installed north and south of the center-most former
UST to treat the "core" area of the adsorbed and dissolved plumes ;
One intermediate well will be installed south of boring B3 to treat the upgradient
area of the dissolved plume;
bAll four proposed shallow wells will be installed surrounding the UST area in
locations of highly impacted "drowned " soil impact.
/The proposed injection well (shallow and intermediate) locations are illustrated in
Figures 14 and 15 .
Selected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Public Health
(CDPH)-certified laboratory for the following constituents:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d )
in accordance with EPA Method 8015M ; and
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene , and total xylenes (BTEX) and fuel additives methyl
tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) , tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA) , di-isopropyl ether (DIPE) ,
ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1 , 2-
dibromoethane (EDB ), and 1 ,2-dichloroethane (1 , 2-DCA) in accordance with EPA
Method 82608 .
Laboratory reports of soil analysis , testing methods , laboratory quality assurance/quality
control (QA/QC) reports , and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in
a report of findings and recommendations .
INJECTION WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Proposed pilot borings will be single-completed as shallow and intermediate injection wells.
The proposed_ shallow injection wells be screened at depths of approximately 25 fro
45 feet bsg and the intermediate infection wells will be screened from 60 to 70 feet bsg .
Depth of the screened intervals may vary or be reduced overall according to hydrogeologic
conditions encountered while drilling . Following installation, each well will be developed to
maximize waterflow and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
