Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
10 May 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 96-0232
Mr. Richard Bokides
FLAG CITY CHEVRON
6421 Capital Avenue
Lodi, California 95242
Subject: Domestic Drinking Water Well Sample Results -May 1999
FLAG CITY CHEVRON
6421 Capital Avenue, Lodi, California
Dear Mr. Bokides:
At your request,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared the enclosed cover letter
documenting collection of the domestic drinking water well sample from 14659 Thornton Road
(Rocky's Restaurant), Lodi, California.
On 29 April 1999, a grab water sample was collected by a representative of AGE from the above
referenced domestic drinking water well. The retrieved sample was transferred into four 40-m1 EPA-
approved VOA vials containing 0.5 ml preservative. Care was taken to ensure that visible air bubbles
were not present in the vials after filling and capping. The water sample containers were labeled with
the well designation, date, time, and sampler's initials.
The domestic water well sample was logged on a chain-of-custody form, placed in a chilled
container and transported to a California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified laboratory
for selective analysis in accordance with:
• EPA Method 8020 for methyl-tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), and
• EPA Method 8260 for tertiary butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (D1PE), ethyl tert butyl
ether (ETBE), tert amyl methyl ether(TAME) and MTBE.
The results of the laboratory analysis detected MTBE utilizing EPA Method 8020 at a concentration
of 14 micrograms per liter(µg/1) and was confirmed utilizing EPA Method 8260 at a concentration
of 12µg/1. The results of the domestic drinking water well laboratory analysis are summarized in
Table 1.The laboratory report(McCampbell Analytical Inc. Lab ID No.10179)and chain-of-custody
forms are enclosed with this cover letter as Appendix A.
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX (209) 467-1118
