r <br /> r15 January 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 96-0232 <br /> rPage 10 of 20 <br /> r 5,900-gallon aboveground storage Baker tank and into a vacuum truck (supplied by ABCO <br /> Environmental), the extracted water was transported off-site under non-hazardous waste manifest <br /> to Invirotech, a waste treatment facility located in Roseville, California Documentation and uniform <br />' hazardous waste manifest for disposal of the pump test purged water is contained in Appendix A <br /> r7.0 PUMP AND TREAT SYSTEM OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br /> Between 22 November and 31 December 2000, the above referenced ground water pump and treat <br />' system was in full operation and extracted and discharged approximately 1,005,045 gallons of treated <br /> water to the Coldani ditch under RWQCB General Order 5-00-119 for discharge to surface waters <br /> of ground water from cleanup of petroleum fuel pollution, a RWQCB waste water discharge <br />' (NPDES permit no CAG915001)permit for discharge to the Coldam ditch was issued to Flag City <br /> Chevron by RWQCB by letter dated 06 November 2000 A copy of NPDES permit no CAG915001 <br />' is included with Appendix E <br /> 10 <br /> 7 1 PUMP AND TREAT OPERATION <br /> The ground water pump and treat system is designed to operate at a maximum flow rate of 25 GPM, <br />' therefore ground water was extracted from selected wells on alternating weekly shifts The first shift <br /> consisted of wells located in the south trench-line (EW-2, EW-4, EW-6 and EW-9) and the second <br /> shift consisted of wells located in the north trench-line (EW-5, EW-7, EW-8 and EW-10) Each <br />' extraction well was adjusted to extract ground water at a flow rate of approximately 5 to 6 GPM, the <br /> discharge of treated water(effluent)to the Coldani ditch was adjusted at a flow rate of approximately <br /> 23 GPM Field notes of ground water pump and treat operation and maintenance activities are in <br />' Appendix H <br />' 7 2 INFLUENT MONITORING <br /> In accordance with the requirements of Attachment B's Monitoring and Reporting Program to <br />' General Order No 5-00-119, ground water pump and treat influent monthly monitoring of TPH-g, <br /> TPH-d, TPH-mo, BTEX, MTBE, methanol, ethanol, DIPE, TAME, ETRE, TBA, nitrate and total <br /> lead was performed on 30 November and 06 December 2000 <br />' Nitratewas detected in the influent water sample collected on 06 December 2000 at a <br /> as NO3 s d p <br />' concentration of 48 ,ugll Analytical results of Nitrate as NO3 are summarized in Table 4 <br /> MTBE was detected in the 30 November 2000 grab water sample at a concentration of 440 and 610 <br /> Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
