15 October 2001 AGE-NC Project No 96-0232 ' Page 9 of 17 ' • TPH-g, TPH-d and TPH-mo by EPA Methods 5030/8015 Modified and 3550/8015 Modified, respectively, ' • BTEX and MTBE by EPA Method 8020, and • Methanol, ethanol, 1,2-DCA,EDB,TBA, DIPE, ETBE, TAME and MTBE by EPA Method 8260 Modified I ' 34 FINDINGS Ground water elevation, flow direction and gradient were determined from field data collected on 05 September 2001, the contaminant impact to ground water was assessed from the laboratory data 3 4 1 Ground Water Elevation And Gradient During the September 2001 monitoring event, depths to ground water in Flag City Chevron wells MW-1 through MW-13 were measured between 15 02 and 19 35 feet below the tops of the well casings, ground water elevations were calculated to be between 6 50 and 8 90 feet below mean sea level Ground water elevation at the site generally decreased an average 3 16 feet between the June 2001 and the September 2001 ground water monitoring events The September 2001 ground water elevation data collected from the Flag City Chevron site and the adjacent Three B's Truck Plaza site Iis depicted in Figures 3, 4, 5 and 6 Ground water elevation data collected in the First Zone Aquifer(5 to 35 feet bsg) in the area of Flag I City Chevron monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2,MW-4,MW-5,MW-6A and MW-l0A indicated that local ground water flow direction was variable (northwest, west and southwestward) and generally was oriented toward the area of MW-1 at an approximate gradient of 0 01 ft/ft or less (Figure 3), ' the ground water elevation data in the area of Flag City Chevron well MW-7, MW-12A, MW-13A and Three B's Truck PIaza wells MW-1 through MW-6 indicated that the ground water flow direction was generally toward the west at an approximate gradient of 0 004 ft/ft or less iGround water flow direction in the Second Zone Aquifer(40 to 60 feet bsg) in the area of Flag City Chevron monitoring wells MW-8A, MW-10B, MW-11A, MW-12B and MW-13B was inferred toward the west at an approximate gradient of 0 002 ft/ft or less (Figure 4), ground water flow direction in the area of MW-613 was inferred toward the southwest and ground water flow direction in the area of MW-9A was inferred toward the northwest at a gradient of 0 002 or less Ground water flow direction in the Secondary Aquifer Zone (85 to 105 feet bsg) in the area of Flag iCity Chevron monitoring wells MW-8B,MW-9B,MW-1013,MW-11 C,MW-12C and MW-13C was Advanced GeoEnviroamental,Inc
