DOWN-HOLE DOMESTIC WATER WELL VIDEO CAMERA PROBE <br /> On 24 March 2000, a down.-hole video camera probe was performed on the domestic drinking water, s <br /> well located at 14659 Thornton Road, Lodi, California (Rocky's Restaurant) The down-hole video <br /> camera probe was conducted at the site to identify the screened interval(s) of the well and to assess <br /> the integrity of the well <br /> I <br /> 4 1 DOMESTIC WATER WELL PUMP REMOVAL ACTIVITIES <br /> r _ Y r } <br /> On 23 Mai ch 2000, two ground water pumps (one potable-water pump and one fire-water pump) <br /> were removed fiom the Rocky's Restaurant domestic water well in preparation for a down-hole <br /> video camera probe A 20-tan crane (provided by Clark Well Inc ) was utilized to remove the ground ; <br /> water pumps, after the potable-water pump and the fire-pump were removed, both pumps were y <br /> I covered with plastic sheeting and placed adjacent to the domestic water well According to the 20; <br /> ton crane operator, the bottom of the fire-water pump was set at 84 feet bsg and the bottom of the <br /> potable-water pump was set at 105 feet bsg <br /> 42 DOWN-HOLE CAMERA PROBE PROCEDURES <br /> A tripod-mounted, four-inch diameter stainless steel video camera (supplied by Water Well <br /> Technology Inc ) was placed above the Rocky's Restaurant domestic wafer well casing, the video <br />' camera was then slowly lowered utilizing a steel cable and a remote control hoist Coaxial video R� <br /> cable was attached from the down-hole video camera and to an above ground video monitor As th6 <br /> video camera was slowly lowered, the down-hole video footage was sianultaneously viewed at the <br />' above ground'video monitor and taped with a VHS video recorder <br />' 4 3 DOWN-HOLE CAMERA PROBE RESULTS <br />' The Rocky's Restaurant domestic water well consisted of 93/4-inch I D polyvinylchloride(PVC)well <br /> casing First encountered groundwater was observed at seven-feet, two-inches Well casing3oints <br /> were observed at 10-foot bsg, 30-foot bsg, 50-foot bsg, 106466t bsg and 127-foot bsg and were ti <br />' adhered with a glue-like substance Perforated well screen was observed between 67 and 76 feet,bsg, <br /> between 87 and' 104 feet bsg and between' 130 and 142 feet bsg, the perforation size could not be <br /> estnnated based on the video probe The bottom of the water well casing appeared to be filled with <br />' silt to an unknown depth No cracks, holes or breaks were observed during the down-hole video <br /> probe Copies of Water Well Technology, Inc down-hole video log are contained,in Appendix F, <br /> ia copy'of the'VHS,video tape of the down-hole camera probe is included with this report <br /> 1 <br /> Ad+ancsdGLoEnNiroll rnPita[ Inc <br />
