23 March 2000
AGE-NC Project No 96-0232
33 DEDICATED GROUND WATER PUMP INSTALLATION
Immediately following installation and development of the six-inch diameter extraction well, AGE
proposes to install a four-inch diameter dedicated Grundfos submersible pump inside the six-inch
diameter extraction well The Grundfos pump will be designed to operate continuously at a low flow
rate ranging between one and five gallons per minute (GPM)
3 4 DEDICATED PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS
AGE proposes to install dedicated pressure transducers in the six-inch diameter ground water
extraction well and in selected ground water monitoring wells during the interim remediation period
to monitor the influence of the draw-down at the site Data obtained from the transduces will be
useful form monitoring and maximizing the capture zone of the extraction well
3 5 PUMP AND TREAT ACTIVITIES
. Utilizing the above referenced Grundfos submersible pump, ground water will be extracted from the
six-inch diameter extraction well to an on-site 20,000-gallon above ground storage Baker Tank
(AGSBT) Ground water containenzed in the 20,000-gallon AGSBT will be hauled off-site on a
weekly basis under non-hazardous manifest to an off-site waste water treatment facility
36 REPORT PREPARATION
Monthly reports will be prepared presenting the findings The monthly reports will include a
description of work performed and the results of the groundwater analysis Conclusions and
recommendations will also be included in the reports, if applicable The report will be in a format
acceptable to RWQCB guidelines, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered
Geologist
40 FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Registered Geologist Procedures for the well installation, well development, dedicated low-flow
pump installation, dedicated pressure transducer installation and pump and treat procedures are
described below
•
Advanced CeoEn%tronmental,Inc
