• Page 2A-2, Paragraph 2A-5.01. Insert the following at the end of the last subparagraph: "The Owner shall retain the responsibility for determining, by testing or other means, whether wastes to be disposed of offsite are classified as designated wastes, non-hazardous, or hazardous wastes." Page 2A-8, Paragraph 2A-11.08. Insert the following subparagraph immediately preceding the last subparagraph: "The Contractor shall fill, compact, and repair all test holes and penetrations of the barrier layer with bentonite slurry prior to installation of succeeding lifts. All repairs shall be observed by and acceptable to the Engineer." Page 2A-9, Paragraph 2A-16. Delete entire paragraph and replace with the following: "A layer of non-woven geotextile fabric shall be installed beneath the 12 inch granular base of the multi-layer cap, above the compacted clay barrier layer, to the extent shown on the drawings. Materials shall conform to the requirements for geotextile fabric given in Section 2D - DISPOSAL AREA CONSTRUCTION." 6. SECTION 2B - WASTE EXCAVATION Page 2B-1, Paragraph 2B-3.1. Add the following to end of second bulleted item: "The Engineer has calculated an approximate in situ volume of wastes within the Pond of 6,900 cubic yards." Add the following to end of third bulleted item: "The Engineer has calculated an approximate in situ volume of wastes within the North Area of 1,400 cubic yards." Page 2B-2, Paragraph 2B-3.2. Insert the following at end of subparagraph "C.": "Refer to paragraph 2F-4 for additional requirements." Page 2B-2, Paragraph 2B-3.2. Insert the following at the end of this paragraph: "The Contractor's Superintendent shall be responsible for establishing the methods, procedures, and protocols necessary to assure compliance with these requirements. " AD2-3
