I
29 December 2006
AGE-NC Project No . 00-0769
Page 3 of 5
• Approximately 300 feet east of well MW-6 and south of proposed CPT locations on the west
side of South El Dorado Street.
All CPT borings are initially proposed to be advanced to approximately 200 feet bsg utilizing a 25-
ton truck-mounted CPT rig equipped with 24nch diameter hollow-stem rods; however, total depths
of borings may vary according to hydrogeologic conditions encountered during drilling activities.
Grab ground water samples will be collected from individual CPT borings in intervals ofporous and
permeable material, generally anticipated to correspond to the major hydrogeologic units already
established from previous investigation and the existing monitoring well network.
Selected ground water samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health
Services (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA
Method 8015 Modified/5030;
• Benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylenes (BTEX) in accordance with EPA Method 8260
Modified;
• Fuel oxygenated compounds including MTBE, tertiary butanol (TBA), tertiary-amyl methyl
ether TAME, di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), and ethyl tertiary.butyl ether (ETBE) by EPA
Method 8260 Modified.
• Ethyldibromide (EDB) and 1 ,2-Dichloroethane (1 ,2-DCA) by EPA Method 8260 Modified.
Laboratory reports for soil analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control
(QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with
findings and recommendations.
2.3 . REPORT PREPARATION
Following the sampling event, a report will be prepared presenting the findings. The reports will
include a description of work performed and the results of the ground water sampling and analysis.
Conclusions and recommendations will also be included in the report to select locations for
additional monitoring wells. The report will be in a format acceptable to CVRW QCB guidelines, and
will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist.
Advanced GeaEnviranmenfal, Inc.
