KLEiNFELDER <br /> i <br /> As a result of the meeting with the RWQCB, Mr Miles was required by the RWQCB to submit a <br /> work plan for investigation and removal of the buried diesel and waste oil tanks on the property <br /> The investigation carried out by Mr Miles' consultant, Wm J Hunter and Associates of <br /> Sacramento, California, revealed an additional buried waste oil tank located a few feet to the <br /> north of the location where waste oil tanks were removed by ITC In addition, three buried <br /> diesel tanks (10,000-gallon, 5,000-gallon, and 3,000-gallon) were discovered a few feet south of <br /> the existing AGST sites The diesel and waste oil tanks were removed by Mr Miles' consultants <br /> and contractors during September and October 1994 with oversight provided by the SJCEHD <br /> (Linda Turkette, William Snavely) <br /> The RWQCB requested from Mr Miles additional site investigation of the contamination related <br /> to the buried waste oil and diesel tanks The investigation, carried out by Wm J Hunter and <br /> Associates, commenced on July 5, 1995, with oversight provided by the SJCEHD (Linda <br /> Turkette) The report for the investigation was submitted to the RWQCB and SJCEHD by Mr <br /> Miles on August 29, 1995 The results of the investigation revealed that groundwater in the <br /> vicinity of the diesel and waste oil tanks was contaminated with gasoline, gasoline compounds, <br /> diesel, and heavy petroleum hydrocarbons Mr Miles was to have submitted a work plan for <br /> further investigation of this contamination by October 13, 1995 <br /> 2 1 3 Petroleum Hydrocarbon Contamination on Properties Located Adjacent to or Nearby <br />' 1145 W Charter Way <br /> Concurrent with the investigation and removal work carried out by Mr Miles and ITC, <br /> Nomellini Construction has been investigating soil and groundwater contamination at its <br /> property directly east of the Miles property at 1045 W Charter Way Petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> (gasoline) were detected in a monitoring well located in the southeast corner of the Nomellim <br /> property <br /> Stockton Scavenger, located directly north and west of 1145 W Charter Way, at 1240 Navy <br /> Drive also had contamination problems from petroleum hydrocarbons apparently related to <br /> buried underground storage tanks on its property Also, Holt Brothers at 1541 W Charter Way <br /> encountered contamination problems associated with its buried underground storage tanks <br /> 23-482276-AOO/TR950096 Page 5 of 12 October 19, 1995 <br /> Copyright 1995 Kleinfelder, Inc <br />
