JM Equipment page 2
1245 W. Charter Way, Stockton.
The EHD approves the work plan as adequate and necessary [H&S Code
25296.10(c)(3)] with the following conditions;
• Selected soil and all ground water samples are to be analyzed for 1,2-
dichloroethane (DCA), ethylene dibromide (EDB), and the fuel oxygenates
by EPA Method 8260B.
• The borings are to be advanced before November 30, 2007.
• The report of findings, in the format of an updated SCM, is to be submitted
to Geotracker so that the EHD can review it by January 18, 2008.
If the data collected during this next investigative phase indicate that the soil and
ground water plumes are adequately delineated, you may submit a feasibility
study. At least two remedial alternatives are to be evaluated for cost-
effectiveness and feasibility. The chosen method should be declared in the
feasibility study and the EHD should be advised if field tests will be conducted
prior to submitting a Corrective Action Plan.
If the data from the investigation to the north indicates that the plumes are not
vertically and laterally defined, please include recommendations in the SCM to
continue the investigation and you are to delay the submittal of the feasibility
study until the EHD concurs that the site is adequately delineated.
You may contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 or Nuel Henderson at (209)
468-3436 if you have any additional questions.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Department
Michael J.
