There is a second Baker Box with a camlock connection for filling ASTs, which is locked and
kept in an off position with an in-line ball valve. Since this connection is determined to be out
of service and not used, and there were no indications of leaks, the inspection determined this
equipment satisfactorily locked. It is noted that this equipment is not blank-flanged or blocked
and could be returned to operations by turning the ball valve to an open position and unlocking
the Baker Box.
Valves:
The valves for the ASTs were operationally cycled and are determined to be in good operating condition.
Liquid Level Gauge:
The Modern Welding Fireguard 25,000 gal tanks have an electronic
inventory control which signals the website & offices continuously
of the amount of product the tanks. While this is not a"liquid level
gauge" in the traditional sense, it does operate as one, and is u
sufficient to provide the instant data and information to those
personnel who would need to be provided that information. There .. ,_ ;"4
is also an electronic monitor with alarms which sends information r,y
to the central electronic Veeder-Root monitoring system, which is
located in the cinder block building contiguous to the West end of
the ASTs. The Veeder Root
continuous electronic monitoring
system was tested, found to be in good
working condition and adequate to the
requirements of the system. Alarms sounded upon testing and
warning lights actuated during the testing process. The Veeder-Root
electronic monitoring system also is capable of providing a paper
print out for operations,
pro ducK levels & inventory.
The Veeder-Root electronic
- monitoring system is TLS-
350, which is designed for
- monitoring Underground
Storage Tanks, is commonly used for ASTs and operates
the same methods and data gathering on an AST as it
would for a UST.
Overfill Buckets/Fill Locations:
Both Tank A and Tank B are filled from a tanker truck which fills the tank thm the top of the
tank system. Next to the Southernmost fuel tank, behind the crash bollards there is a 7 gal.
Baker Box overfill-spill box, in which a camlock cap for filling the tanks. There is also a return
