Bulk Storage Containers 40 CFR 112.8(c)(1)
The#2 Diesel fuel oil product storage tank located outside the truck shop wall is a
Certified UL 142 single wall tank constructed of steel. The two IBC tote tanks are used
for waste oil storage and are constructed of high density plastic and the trans-mix oil
product storage tank is a Certified UL 142 single wall tank construct of steel. The 500-
gallon motor oil tanks are constructed of single wall steel. All 55-gallon drums containing
oil products are constructed from single wall steel. These are appropriate materials for
storing petroleum products under the variable climate temperatures of the region. The
tank systems are designed not to create additional vacuums or pressures to the tanks
other than natural expansions and contractions caused by ambient temperature changes
to the product.
Capacity of the Secondary Containment Area 40 CFR 112.8(c)(2)
The secondary containment areas must have the capacity to contain the entire
volume of the largest tank. This is addressed within this Plan in 40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(iii),
on page 19.
Procedure to Address Precipitation within Secondary Containment 40
CFR 112.8(c)(3)
This is addressed in 40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(iii).
Underground Pipe Corrosion Protection 40 CFR 112.8(c)(4 & (5)
The facility does not operate any underground piping systems. No corrosion
protection is required.
Periodic Testing of the Integrity of Aboveground Tanks
40 CFR 112.8(c)(6)
Tank certification testing shall be performed on a five-year basis and the
requirements of the testing person shall meet STI Standards. Certified Non-Destructive
Ultrasonic testing occurred on May 5, 2015. Inspections of the facility will be done on a
monthly basis and follow the inspection standards of the SPCC Plan regulations. All
inspections and Certified testing shall be maintained within this SPCC Plan.
