Leakage from Internal Heating Coils 40 CFR 122.8(c)(7)
There are no internal heating coils within this system. The applicable requirements
of 40 CFR 112.8(c)(7) do not apply to this facility or SPCC Plan.
Engineer or Update Contains to Avoid Discharge 40 CFR 112.8(c)(8)
Williams Tank Lines uses a visual tank gauge system consisting of a clock gauge
and has a liquid measuring system on their Certified UL 142 12,000-gallon #2 Diesel fuel
tank. When fuel deliveries are to be performed the fuel delivery driver will use the clock
gauge to indicate fuel levels and will stick the tank to verify that the fuel to be delivered
will not cause any overfill. These procedures will be performed prior to unloading any oil
product into Williams Tank Lines system. If the visual clock gauge demonstrates a volume
problem the driver will cease all loading and secure the system.
Observe Effluent Discharge 40 CFR 112.8(c)(9)
Williams Tank Lines does not employ a surface water effluent or water separation
treatment system at this site. The requirements in 40 CFR 112.8(c)(9) are not applicable.
Promptly Address Visible Discharge 40 CFR 112.8(c)(10)
This is addressed within this Plan in 40 CFR 112.7(e).
Mobile or Portable Storage Containers 40 CFR 112.8(c)(11)
Within Williams Tank Lines operation there are several mobile and/or portable
containers. All of the 55-gallon oil product drums are mobile and the waste oil totes are
also portable. All of the Hazardous waste containers are mobile and care is taken to
ensure that the stored products are contained and not leaking.
Facility Transfer Operations 40 CFR 112.8(d)(1)(2)(3(4) & (5)
These items are addressed in 40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(iii).
