Hazardous waste shall be <br /> stored in a container that are in good condition. Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are <br /> in good condition or have hazardous wastes properly disposed of by a licensed hazardous waste hauler under a <br /> proper manifest. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> One 55 gallon drum which contained oily absorbent was labeled as hazardous waste and was open. All hazardous <br /> waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these <br /> containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> The following empty containers were observed in the storage west of the oil room-25 container of forty gallon each <br /> and labeled corrosive, six 300-gallon totes,four 55-gallon metal drum. Containers larger than five gallons that <br /> previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year <br /> of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 505 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. <br /> Three-hundred gallon used oil tank was labeled "Hazardous Waste" only. All hazardous waste tanks shall be <br /> marked with the words"Hazardous Waste"and the accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all hazardous <br /> waste tanks are marked with the required information. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d)Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste <br /> stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Used oil tank and 55-gallon drum of absorbent <br /> label as hazardous waste did not have accumulation start dates. Since it cannot be determined how long the <br /> hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br /> under manifest.
