Williamson: <br /> I have reviewed the investigative data for,, -this site and <br /> concur that: <br /> 1. The amount of fuel released is sufficiently large to <br /> justify a recovery system. <br /> 2. The release occured at the vapor recovery connection to <br /> the tank and has been repaired. The leak occured over <br /> a period of several years . <br /> 3. The plume extends from near the intersection of. lower <br /> Sacramento Road and Kettle an Road and in a southeast- <br /> erly direction to beyond Kayo ' s south and east property <br /> line. <br /> 4 . There is hydrocarbon in the soil near the tank and on <br /> the water surface at about 451 deep. <br /> 5. There are sufficient monitor wells to establish the <br /> leading edge of the plume. <br /> Recommendations: <br /> 1. Construct a watertable depression and recovery system. <br /> The water pumping rate should be large enough to <br /> depress the water table throughout the plume area and <br /> somewhat beyond. <br /> The recovery system should have a separate product <br /> recovery pump and holding tank. <br /> The watertable depression pump should pass through a <br /> tank to separate any product and be forced aerated <br /> before discharge. <br />
