Analysis order forms, worksheets, data reporting forms,
QA/QC data and any other forms involved with analytical data are put
together. (See Appendix 8 for sample forms). The data manager will
confirm that all information is legible and organiz
Once the report is
generated, the complete data package is kept in a secured file cabinet.
7.2 Data Reduction, Validation, and Reporting
Data reduction is documented by the analyst on the result summary
sheets and workbooks. The actual mathematical calculations depend upon the
analysis method employed. However, all generated results are checked by
the Group Manager during data review. Any mathematical errors prompt
immediate action, as the analyst is notified and the whole data reduction
calculation repeated.
The reduced data is further validated by random calculation checks
frequently carried out by the Quality Control Officer.
Any indication of
miscalculated results will call for a review of calculation procedures for
the method. Also, if QA/QC data show results outside

z,
1
