This system provides for recalibration schedules,
methods record keeping, and specialized laboratory functions to provide
the service. The laboratory draws heavily on these services for
PP
calibration needs,
and supplements the system for many instruments with
calibration done by the analyist who are familiar with their use.
The object of this total system is to assure the accuracy and
reliability of the measured quantities which are essential to the
generation of true accurate analytical results.
8.1 21ALi:ty Con® Instructions
Calibration of instrumentation and apparatus is governed by the
Quality Control Instructions listed below. Copies of these instructions
are included as SOP`s 1-3 in Appendix 4.
o Quality Control Stickers
o Calibration System Operating Instructions
o Calibration Intervals and Procedures
8.2 Calibration Requirements
Calibration requirements for instruments and apparatus are those set
forth in the above quality control instructions.
The instructions cover
the calibration procedure, performance specifications, frequency of
calibration, identification of calibrated equipment and records of

28
