Those instruments which do not
require periodic calibration receive another sticker, marked "functional
check".
Following each calibration, the calibration sticker is replaced by a
new one which shows the date calibrated, date next calibration due, and
person or QA Officer. Should an item pass the
signature of calibrating p
"calibration due" date without being calibrated, a "calibration overdue
" may not be used until properly calibrated.
sticker is affixed and the item y
Equipment requiring regular calibration will be listed in a calibration
schedule (the recall system) in categories according to type, ELI No.,
Serial No. and Date Calibration Due. Equipment not already in the recall
system will be added to the system at the time of initial calibration.
This system will be used to remind the person or organization responsible
for calibration in advance of the need to recalibrate.
Tables V-1 through V-2 list the instruments requiring periodic
calibration the applicable calibration procedures, the related calibration
interval, the identifying serial numbers, and the group or individual
qualified to perform the calibration.
 8.3 Calibration Procedures
All calibration procedures are written in a format conforming to the
Lab Notes. Step-by-step instructions are given for each procedure.
With each procedure preprinted data sheets are included which show limits
for acceptable performance and each measurement.
