(Repeat) Manifests or Bills of lading for the spent lead acid batteries for the last three years were <br /> not found on site. A copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately <br /> locate a copy of all disposal records for the spent lead acid batteries for the last three years, maintain <br /> them on site, and submit copies to the EHD by 07/22/2012. <br /> 404. One coffee poly-can of waste oil was a lid that is not closable against spillage on top of a 30-gallon <br /> poly drum in the shop. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding <br /> or removing waste. Immediately close these containers in a manner that will prevent spillage if it fell <br /> over or laying on its side, and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or <br /> removing waste. If the container cannot be closed that will prevent spillage, move the hazardous waste <br /> into a container that can prevent spillage when closed. Submit evidence of correction to EHD by <br /> 07/22/2012. <br /> 407. Two 35-gallon metal containers were not marked with the date when they first became empty. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the <br /> date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage <br /> all empty containers per this section and provide evidence of correction by 07/22/2012. <br /> 605 & 701. (Repeat) Two 1-gallon containers of waste oil first observed in the 2011 inspection and one <br /> 1-gallon coffee can of waste oil had no label, and the 35-gallon white poly drum of waste oil (also <br /> observed in 2011 inspection) had no hazardous properties (corrected on site) and accumulation start <br /> date of October 2010. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br /> information.
