z <br /> Quarterly Report - 15Z East 1 1 th Street, Tracy • Page 3 <br /> Remediation <br /> In early December 1995, preparatory to remediation of contaminated soil found beneath <br /> the subject property, all structure on the site, including the building that had, prior to <br /> purchase of the site by the Navarras, served as an automobile-service shop and gas-station <br /> office, and the fore-court canopy were demolished under permit of the City of Tracy <br /> Except for minor quantities of general debris, which were disposed at a permitted landfill, <br /> all of the material generated by the demolition, including structural steel, bricks and metal <br /> siding, were carefully segregated by type and shipped to appropriate facilities for recycling <br /> in beneficial use <br /> Following notice of approval of the CAP from the SJCPHS, requests for statements of <br /> qualifications and price proposals for implementation of the remediation program defined <br /> in that plan were distributed to appropriately-licensed contractors in the Northern <br /> California area Preparation of an application to the California Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (Central Valley Region) under the terms of that agency's Order No 92-150 <br /> for authorization to discharge treated groundwater from the subject property under <br /> National Polluted Discharge Elimination Scheme (NPDES) Permit No CA0082929 was <br /> also initiated during the reporting period. <br /> Groundwater Quality Monitoring <br />• On November 15th 1995, depth to water was measured in all eight groundwater <br /> monitoring wells installed for the 152 East lith Street property and samples were <br /> recovered from six wells (NAV 2, NAV 4, NAV 5, NAV 6, NAV 7 and NAV 8 - refer to <br /> Figure 2 for locations) The samples were analyzed for components of gasoline and the <br /> results presented in an engineering report that was submitted to the SJCPHS on December <br /> 7th 1995 <br /> The November-15th round of groundwater sampling and analysis was conducted in <br /> accordance with the Groundwater Sampling Plan Property at UZ East Ilth. Street, <br /> - <br /> Tracy, California which has been approved by the SJCPHS Supplemental samples, <br /> beyond those routinely gathered according to the specifications of the established <br /> groundwater sampling plan, were recovered form wells NAV 3 and NAV 4 and analyzed <br /> for chlorinated pesticides, chlorinated volatile hydrocarbons, aromatic volatile <br /> hydrocarbons and general minerals preparatory to application to the CRWQCB for a <br /> permit to discharge treated groundwater from the site during the planned remediation <br /> work (Note No analytes of concern were detected in those samples ) <br />
