Corrective Action Plan <br /> Page 16 <br /> After the depth to groundwater has been measured in all of the wells, each well will be <br /> purged by pumping a minimum of five well volumes of water from the casing The purge <br /> water from wells NAV-2, NAV-5, NAV-6, NAV-7 and NAV-8 will be decanted into <br /> closed-top, 50-gallon drums Based on data from earlier rounds of sampling, this water is <br /> expected to be clean If this is confirmed by the results of laboratory analysis, this water <br /> will be discharged to the municipal sewer Purge water from wells NAV 3 and NAV-4, <br /> winch is known to be contaminated, will decanted into a closed, 1100-gallon, PVC tank <br /> on the 152 East l I th Street property where it will be stored until the proposed treatment <br /> system for water that will be pumped from the remedial excavation has been constructed <br /> At that time the stored purge water will be treated before being discharged to the storm <br />' sewer in compliance with NPDES Permit No CA0082929, or the requirements of such <br /> other discharge permit as will be issued by the CRWQCB <br />' After all the wells that are to be sampled have been purged, the depth to groundwater in <br /> each will be measured again prior to sampling to ensure that a representative sample can <br /> be obtained <br /> A groundwater sample will be recovered from each well using the dedicated, PVC bailers <br /> that have previously been installed in them Water will be decanted from the bailers using a <br /> valved decanting-spigot so as to completely fill clean, laboratory-supplied glassware The <br /> sample vials will then be tightly closed, labeled for identification, entered into chain-of- <br /> custody control and packed on chemical ice for transport, within 24 hours, to a laboratory <br /> certified by the California Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Health <br /> Services (CEPA) <br /> Each water sample will be analyzed for the following suite of analytes <br /> Analyte Method of Analysis <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons EPA Method 5030/8015 <br />' (as Gasoline) <br /> Benzene EPA Method 602 <br /> Toluene EPA Method 602 <br />' Ethyl Benzene EPA Method 602 <br /> Total Xylenes EPA Method 602 <br />
