EVACUATION <br /> OBJECTIVES <br /> • Ensure evacuation is initiated properly <br /> • Conducted safely <br /> • Prevent unauthorized entry to the facility <br /> • Ensure all areas are cleared <br /> • Monitor the movement of personnel to the Assembly Area <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> i. Account for employees at Assembly Area <br /> i. Notify general public in area to evacuate. <br /> 3. Assist people with disabilities or injuries <br /> 4. Save critical equipment <br /> 5. Turn off electrical appliances <br /> 6. Assist the Facility Threat Coordinator with duties. <br /> Tasks 1, z, and 3 must be assigned and performed; other tasks are optional. <br /> • <br /> Evacuation routes and assembly areas are established for each PHS facility, and maps detailing the <br /> routes are posted on each floor/area. <br /> FACILITY THREAT COORDINATOR <br /> 1. Notify Area Wardens to evacuate their areas. <br /> i. Assign tasks as required. <br /> 3. Direct the Area Wardens to station themselves at the facility entrances and prevent entry by <br /> unauthorized persons. <br /> 4. From the External Command Post, coordinate activities with Police, Fire Department and the <br /> CAD's office. <br /> AREA WARDEN <br /> 1. Notify senior personnel in the area of need to evacuate. <br /> i. Assign staff to assist people with injuries, disabilities or access and functional needs. <br /> 3.
