HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES <br /> FOR DRILLING ACTIVITIES <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. has adopted the following health and safety procedures <br /> for working with organic vapors and liquid contaminants encountered during investigative drilling, <br /> excavation and sampling operations. <br /> All work will be done in accordance with current OSHA regulations and all personnel <br /> working within the exclusion zone will have completed a 40-hour OSHA training course. A <br /> tailgate safety meeting will be held prior to commencement of work each day and a site-specific <br /> I ealth and Safety Plan will be discussed with and presented to all crew members for their <br /> signatures. <br /> 1.0 - SITE ACCESS <br /> Access to the project site shall be limited by the site perimeter. In no case shall the exclusion zone <br /> _ for all non-authorized personnel be less than 20 feet from the borehole/excavatioil location. No <br /> smoking will be allowed in the exclusion zone. <br /> 2.0 - SITE MANAGER <br /> The site manager shall coordinate all activities of equipment and personnel at the project site. Site <br /> manager responsibilities will include the following: <br /> 1. Limiting access within the site perimeter to authorized personnel. <br /> 2. Providing written log of on-site activities and events. <br /> 3. On-site containment of potentially contaminated drill cuttings and water. <br /> 4. Monitoring ambient air vapor concentrations on the site perimeter. <br /> 5. Notification of regulatory agencies during emergency procedures. <br /> 6. Enforcement of site safety precautions. <br /> 3.0- PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> During drilling/excavation of soils containing organic vapors and liquid contaminants, all personnel <br /> in contact with the contaminated material shall undertake the following precautions: <br /> 3.1 Skin/Clothes Protection <br /> a. Steel-toed rubber boots or steel-toed boots will be worn at all times. <br /> b. Disposable plastic gloves will be worn for sampling(changed after each sample). <br /> A-6 <br /> W� CONDOR <br />
