Disposable clothing will be discarded to an appropriate storage container at the end of <br /> each day and disposed of properly at the completion of the job. <br /> 3.2 Respiratory/Eye/Ear Protection <br /> a. During drilling/excavation activities, ambient air and soil vapor will be monitored with an <br /> OVA. <br /> b. Site perimeter will also be monitored on 30 minute intervals. Monitoring frequency will be <br /> increased by the site manager if conditions approach 10 ppm with the OVA. <br /> C. Half face/full face respirators will be worn as warranted(see Section 5). <br /> d. Safety glasses will be worn during all activities. <br /> e. Appropriate hearing protection will be used during all drilling and excavation activities. <br /> 4.0 - PHYSICAL HAZARDS <br /> Safety hazards will be typical of those associated with construction activities involving heavy <br /> equipment(e.g., backhoe, excavator, drill rig, etc..). Possible hazards include underground/above <br /> grotud utilities,heat stress,noise, excavating and drilling. <br /> r <br /> 4.1 Underground/Above Ground Utilities <br /> The potential for contact with live underground/above ground utilities during the drilling is <br /> possible at the site. Underground Service Alert(USA)must be notified prior to field work <br /> to identify known utilities. Triple E Produce Facility will be responsible for identifying, <br /> deactivating, and removing underground/above ground utilities. Site personnel must be <br /> made aware of known utility locations. If an unknown utility is encountered during the <br /> fieldwork, Triple E Produce Facility will notify the appropriate utility agency.
