(GZA) on behalf of Valley Pacific
Petroleum Services, Inc. (Valley Pacific) for the service station site at 930 Victor Road in Lodi.
Groundwater monitoring was performed in accordance with Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP)
No. R5-2002-0827. The reports that were reviewed consisted of the following:
• 25 October 2005 Semi -Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report, First and Second
Quarters 2005 (First Semi -Annual Report)
22 November 2005 Semi -Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report Including
Additional drilling Activities, Third and Fourth Quarters 2005 (Second Semi -Annual Report)
• 17 January 2006 Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report 2005 (Annual Report)
The First Semi -Annual Report discusses groundwater monitoring and sampling activities performed in
February 2005. The Second Semi -Annual Report discuss groundwater monitoring and sampling
activities performed in August and October 2005, including reinstallation of dry monitoring wells MW2
through MW6 and installation of offsite downgradient well MW11 and soil boring SBA. Petroleum
hydrocarbons were not detected in soil and groundwater samples from offsite well MWl 1 and soil
samples from boring SBA. The Annual Report discusses groundwater monitoring activities and data
trends for 2005.
Concentrations of dissolved phase hydrocarbons exhibit relatively stable to decreasing trends and the
groundwater plume appears to be stable. Separate phase hydrocarbons (SPH), not present in the
monitoring wells from October 2004 through April 2005, have reappeared in well MW8 and measured a
maximum thickness of 0.27 foot in August 2005. SPH are manually removed from well MW8 by
periodic bailing. Approximately 12.5 gallons of SPH were removed from well MW8 in 2005 for a total
of 477 gallons since 1994. The Annual Report recommends more aggressive removal of SPH
accumulating in well MW8.
California Environmental Protection Agency
(a Recycled Paper
