II. Medium Spills 10-50 Gallons <br /> Medium spills such as auto accident, Truck Fuel Tanks, Hose leaks during Underground <br /> Storage Tank Product Delivery. <br /> 1. Shut down pumps. <br /> 2. Secure area, limit traffic by vehicles and persons, use Traffic Cones of Caution <br /> Tape. <br /> 3. Enforce NO SMOKING OR OPEN FLAMES, SHUT OFF GASOLINE <br /> DISPENSERS INVOLVED OR NEAR THE SPILL. <br /> 4. Notify appropriate grocery store management. <br /> Management should perform the following procedures: <br /> 5. Contact Gilbert Silva, Food 4 Less, 209-957-4917. <br /> 6. Call the local Fire Department Emergency number 911. <br /> 7. Notify the State Department of Environmental Protection(DEP) 916-445-3846. <br /> 8. Notify the National Response Center(NCR) at 1-800-424-8802, 24 hours a day. <br /> Note: Be sure to advise the Fire Department, State-DEP and NCR, that Wendt & <br /> Son Construction, Inc., your Emergency Response Contractor has been notified <br /> and is responding. <br /> 9. Put on Safety Glasses and Gloves found in the SOS spill kit, before touching any <br /> spill material or contaminated absorbent. <br /> 10. If safe to do so, cover and storm drains in spill area, use storm drain cover or <br /> build a dike with dry particulate absorbent to prevent liquids from entering storm <br /> drain. <br /> DO NOT TOUCH OR WALK THROUGH SPILLED LIQUIDS AT ANY TIME FOR <br /> ANY REASON.
