20 January 2003
AGE-NC Project No 95-0109
labeled DOT-approved 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site Field sheets and data are Included
in Appendix B
2 1 5 Well Head Survey
On 13 January 2002, a California state-licensed survey engineer from Baumbach & Piazza, Inc
surveyed a reference point on the top of ground water monitoring wells MW-15 through MW-19 to
the nearest 0 01-foot relative to City of Lodi Bench Marks Number 3 at 53 28 feet above mean sea
level (MSL) The results of the monitoring well survey are contained in Table 1 The surveying
report (Baumbach &Piazza) is presented in Appendix C
2 2 QUARTERLY WELL MONITORING PROCEDURES
According to the Revised Monitoring and Reporting Program, dated 27 June 2001,monitoring wells
MW-7 through MW-9, MW-12 and MW-14 were to be sampled on a quarterly basis, all new wells
must be sampled on a quarterly basis and all on- and off-site wells must be sampled on an annual
basis Since new wells MW-15 through MW-19 were installed and were required to be sampled
during the last week of fourth quarter 2002, AGE sampled all of the on- and off-site wells, thereby
including the year 2003 annual sampling program in the fourth quarter 2002 report, AGE received
verbal approval for the sampling modification in a phone conversation with CVRWQCB staff on 08
January 2002
On 23 December 2002 wells MW-1 through MW-14 and EW-1 were monitored and sampled On
27 December 2002 wells MW-15 through MW-19 were sampled upon completion of well
development, development and sampling were performed on the same day in order to include sample
data from wells MW-15 through MW-19 in the fourth quarter report
2 2 1 Well Monitoring and Evacuation
A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water to the nearest 0 01-foot
in all twenty wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevation in each well
was calculated by subtracting the depth to ground water from the surveyed well casing elevation
(Table 1)
After water levels were measured, wells MW-1 through MW-14 were purged using new disposable
plastic bailers, well EW-1 was purged using a Grundfos Redi-flaw submersible purge pump, and
Advanced GeoEnvlronmental,Inc
