November 7, 1986 AGS 8691-3
Beacon Service Station #1-502 - Lodi, California
TABLE 4
GROUND WATER ELEVATION DIFFERENCES
MONITORING WELLS
BEACON SERVICE STATION #1-502, LODI , CALIFORNIA
MONITORING TOP OF CASING STATIC WATER LEVEL
WELL (FEET BELOW DATUM) WATER BELOW ABOVE
NUMBER LEVEL* DATUM MW-2
MW-1 5.42 41.44 46. 36 0. 11
MW-2 4.95 42.02 46. 97 0.00
MW-3 6. 47 40.10 46. 57 0.40
Measurements in feet
* Static water level measured in feet below top of casing
Datum is an arbitrary elevation corresponding to instrument level
These calculations were used to create a Ground Water
Potentiometric Surface Map across the site (Plate P-3 ) . This
indicates a gradient of approximately 0.47 feet per 100 feet ( 25
feet per mile) and implies ground water flow toward the south
southwest.
The calculated ground water gradient indicates that monitoring
well MW-3 is located significantly to the east of directly up
gradient from the tank excavation. The presence of ground water
contamination in MW-1 and MW-2, and the lack of discernable
contamination in MW-3 are consistant with ground water flow to
the south southwest, and suggests that the contamination found in
the ground water is sourced from on site. No data regarding flow
rates are available at this time.
11
.40v/ied GeoSystel=
