Fugitive vapor will be monitored <br /> periodically and respiratory protection Aill be used if 50 percent of the maximum <br /> recommended exposure limits are exceeded. <br /> 4.4 Dermal Exposure Hazard <br /> Dermal exposure routes from toxic constituents could include airborne or direct contact of <br /> exposed areas(e.&forearms,hands,face,and neck)during normal work activities. Contact <br /> of significant adsorption of toxic components is highly unlikely. <br /> r <br /> 4.5 Explosion Hazard <br /> Elevated vapor concentrations may be present which could be sources for explosion. <br /> '~ Caution must be taken to prevent sources of ignition such as cigarettes, open flames and <br /> _ no-explosion proof electrical motors from operating within the restricted zone(see Section <br /> 4.6 Physical Hazards <br /> The pt:maryphysical hazards associated with this project are those involving close proximity <br /> to heavy equipment, i.e. the excavator and the hollow-stem auger drilling rig. Loose <br /> clothing and jewelry will not be worn and long hair should be tied back whoa around <br /> required within the exclusion zone while overhead <br /> rotating machinery. Hard hats will be <br /> hazards exist. Steel-toed boots should be worn by all personnel near machinery. Hearing' <br /> pratcction should be worn whenever noise levels exceed 85 decibels or if it is necessary to <br /> joficantly raise your voice to hold a conversation. <br /> 5.0 GENERAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS <br /> 5.1 Medical Clearance and Monitoring <br /> s4 All project personnel who may be required to wear respirators should provide evidence <br /> that they have been cleared by a physician to wear respirators. <br /> I� <br />
