AWL
April 26, 1988 AGS Job No. 2005-P
Delta Truck Sales, Stockton, California
components that are installed in the well will be steam cleaned
immediately before well installation.
The bentonite/cement seal will be allowed to set for at least 24
hours before well development. The well will be developed using
a surge block and extensive pumping. The ground water will then
be purged until discharged water is essentially clear of
suspended sediments. After the well is developed, the well will
be purged and ground water samples will be collected. Purging
will be conducted using a submersible pump until at least five
well volumes are removed and until stable pH, conductivity, and
temperature readings are obtained.
Samples will be collected by lowering a Teflon bailer, cleaned
with Alconox and rinsed with deionized water, to a point
approximately three feet below the ground-water surface. Sampled
water will be transferred into containers supplied by the
analytical laboratory specifically for the types of analyses to
be performed. Preserving agents will be also be provided by the
f
laboratory. All sample containers will be sealed, labeled and
refrigerated for transport to the laboratory. A Chain of Custody
Record will be initiated by the sampling personnel and will
accompany the samples to the laboratory.
16
ADD/led GeoSVWems
