The U. S. Army Engineer Division, Huntsville (USAEDH) , acting <br /> an your behalf, is currently managing and planning eight projects <br /> which will lead to the successful environmental restoration of <br /> DDTC. These projects are being addressed and contracted for on <br /> an "as identified" basis. This results in multiple contractors <br /> performing work at DDTC, but will not detract from the final ob- <br /> jective of having DDTC ' s environmental restoration process cul- <br /> minate in an all inclusive Remedial Investigation/Feasibility <br /> Study (RI/FS) report and a final Remedial Action program. <br /> 2 . This letter addresses individual project statuses and <br /> recommends a strategy leading to the comprehensive environmental <br /> restoration at DDTC. <br /> a. RI/FS - Woodward-Clyde Consultants (WCC) . This project <br /> is currently underway and has just been modified to include addi- <br /> tional sampling and analysis to further characterize the aquifer <br /> and conclude the contract with a Final Record of Decision (ROD) <br /> by 6 May 1991 .
