Defense Depot Tracy • -3- •4 July 1987
f. Complete description and as-built drawings of ponds including
pond liners and as-built drawings of all lines transporting
waste to the ponds.
3 . Storm water pond discharges. Storm water from the base is
collected in a large pond, and occasionally discharged to surface
drainages tributary to the San Joaquin River. Regional Board
staff determined in 1981 that this no longer needed an NPDES
permit. New federal regulations, however, will require permits
for storm water discharges. Characterization of these discharges
is appropriate, and will be included in the monitoring program.
INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS
a. Records of frequency and volume of discharges to the pond in
relation to storm events.
b. Results of analysis for Chlorine residual, BOD, Temperature,
Suspended Matter, Settleable Matter, Total Dissolved Solids,
pH, Standard Minerals, Electrical Conductivity, Oil and
Grease, ICAP for metals.
C. Record of pond freeboard, and of frequency and volume of
discharge to surface water.
In the past DDT has answered some of our requests for information by
referring us to the "Operational Plan on file in your office. " We have
no record of receiving this plan. If information is still current in
this plan, it may be sent to help fulfill the request for the above
information.
