Ms . Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County, Public Health <br /> Services , said she received a telephone call from a resident on <br /> Valpico Road. Ms . Lagorio told the resident she was upgradient <br /> and did not need to be concerned. The resident said she was <br /> still concerned and wanted to have her well tested. RWQCB said <br /> they would welcome any telephone calls and answer any questions . <br /> RWQCB said if a resident contacted them with a valid concern, <br /> they would be happy to answer their questions . <br /> Ms . Lagorio said there was previous discussion about installing <br /> additional monitoring wells off base to help delineate exactly <br /> where the plume was and she asked if this was still being <br /> considered. DDRW said they recognize that the edge of the plume <br /> has not been fully defined and they are planning to install <br /> additional monitoring wells to define the eastern edge of the <br /> plume. They said they recently concluded entry agreements so <br /> they can enter onto the private property where the plume is at <br /> this time and perform nonintrusive testing (cone penetrometer <br /> testing, geophysics, and electromagnetics ) to determine where <br /> the monitoring wells should be installed. <br /> RWQCB said they have sampled wells at nearby facilities (Lyoth <br /> Loading Station, All Pure Chemical, and Triple E Produce ) . They <br /> are also monitoring several other facilities that have had <br /> reported releases in the area. RWQCB said they are attempting <br /> to merge this data to form a regional well survey to determine <br /> what impact those other sources might have on the groundwater <br /> quality at DDRW Tracy. This will help them distinguish which <br /> chemicals DDRW and the other facilities are responsible for. <br /> RWQCB said they do possess documented evidence of releases of <br /> chlorine products from Triple E Produce and petroleum products <br /> from Lyoth Loading Station. <br /> Ms . Lagorio asked if carbon tetrachloride was detected at any of <br /> the nearby facilities. RWQCB said it was detected at All Pure <br /> Chemical. RWQCB stated they have not named a PRP for the carbon <br /> tetrachloride. <br /> Mr. Jones asked if the tar pits (Georgia Pacific ) had been <br /> sampled. RWQCB said yes . DDRW said Georgia Pacific and Triple <br /> E Produce were the only facilities they have sampled in that <br /> area. Mr. Jones said the tar pits, at one time, were an engine <br /> servicing depot for the railroad. <br /> Mr. Hand asked how many surface acres are there from DDRW's <br /> wells and to where the plume might be. DDRW said the depot <br /> consists of 908 . 31 acres and the plume has moved another 20 <br /> acres at the 5 parts per billion (ppb) level in the Upper <br /> 4 <br />
